Dr Yougesh Chander Nijhawan is a Visiting Senior Research Advisor at IISD, who is also a NABL Central Committee Member and Lead Assessor of Testing Laboratories, the Former, Director of National Test House (NTH), Ghaziabad; subordinate office of Ministry of Consumers Affairs; Government of India, was engaged in Quality Control activities of Consumer Products, Food and Engineering Goods. In addition, he worked as Chief Director, Directorate of Vanaspati, Vegetable Oils & Fats; the Attached office of Department of Food and Public Distribution.

In fact, Dr Nijhawan is a Lead Assessor for NABL, Since the inception of NABL from 1995 and have Carried out Assessments of more than 500 Testing Laboratories as per ISO/IEC: 17025 i.e General Requirement for the Competence of Testing and Calibration of Laboratories, ISO/IEC:17034 i.e General Requirements for the Competence of Reference Material Producers(RMP) & ISO:17043 i.e Conformity Assessment with respect to General Requirements for Proficiency Testing (PT).

He is also Central Committee Member of NABL Assessment Committee for the Grant of Accreditation and Empanelled Auditor of APEDA & FSSAI.

He is a Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Delhi, with credible work experience of last 33 years.
