Dr. Swati Maheshwari is the Visiting Sr. Research Follow (Health) at IISD, who is an Internal medicine specialist with more than 17 years of experience in clinical and administrative field both in India and abroad. She is working with almost all stakeholders in the healthcare sectors like Government, Corporate houses, Research foundations, Charities and Private healthcare providers and has diverse and functional expertise of healthcare needs. Her work has covered varied health aspects from manual Scavengers, Hygiene in school going children, Prevention and early detection of common diseases, Menstrual hygiene, Water sanitation, Cancer awareness, TB control, Population stabilisation, Maternal and Infant Mortality Rate Reduction Measures and Child health related issues, especially the  malnutrition of tribal children. She is also a social entrepreneur; who hosts popular “ Dr. Swati Show “ on Indian televisions and other digital portals; to develop awareness as an effective tool to promote behaviour modification and health seeking practices and active in many other health centric programmes on television. In addition, She also works with the last mile at grassroots level in more than 1000 villages across India. She takes care of IISD’s Community and Prevention health care initiatives and services in greater societal need, in collaboration with Government of India, WHO and Private Heath Care Foundations, in addition to rendering her specialized advises to our in house health sector projects, including recent time’s those of Corona COVID 19 Pandemic.
