Mamata Das is the Sr. Research Follow (Social Sustainability) at IISD, who is a rural management post graduate from the XIMB, Mamata has more than 18 years of experience in the development sector. Mamata’s work spans the fields of education, livelihoods, entrepreneurship development, technology-enabled financial inclusion, natural resources management, disaster management, gender, health and sanitation, among others. 

Mamata has worked  for several organizations of repute which includes Research organisations, NGOs, Technical support organizations, Funding agencies, Technology-based organizations, Educational institutions, Financial institutions and Government organizations. Her work expertise at IISD, includes conceptualization and design of projects, monitoring and evaluation, research and documentation, coordination and networking.  Apart from providing support to civil society organizations, working across India on various issues, she has been working with IISD to carry out studies related to micro-finance, gender, sanitation, health projects and their evaluation, social audit and impact assessment.
