A knowledge sharing platform is a buzzing, interactive and collaborative workspace, with lively discussions and practical demonstrations. There are facilitated sessions to learn how others have improved the effectiveness and quality of their work, and opportunities for networking, allowing people to connect and link ideas as well as exchanging opinions in a natural way and relaxed setting. A sharing platform is not a goal in itself, but the beginning of a process. It will create new partnerships; new exchanges between people that would like to work together, in a different way. IISD-CMI organizes Knowledge Sharing, Workshops, Round Tables, Conferences, Conclaves, Summits, Seminar and Events, in a meaningful way.

Round tables are different forms of, either academic or professional discussions, where Participants agree on a specific topic to discuss and debate. Each person is given equal right to participate, as illustrated by the idea of a circular layout referred to in the term round table. The round table method is still highly used, these days.

The Conference is a meeting of two or more persons for discussing matters of common concern, whereas a Summit is an international meeting of heads of state or government, usually with considerable media exposure, tight security, and a prearranged agenda.

IISD-CMI don't believe in Organizing many Wasteful Conferences and Seminars, with little Knowledge Deliberation and which even fails just to upgrade delegates about basics of the subject. Rather we believes in organizing few knowledge sharing qualitative Events i.e Seminars, Workshops, Round-tables and Conferences with a purpose of disseminating the results of our scientific research works and gather new ideas and directions from a systematic public consultative process.
