Yash Premchandani is the Visiting Research Fellow (LCA, ESG and Sustainable Urban Planning) at IISD, who is Providing Intelligent Sustainability Solutions, based on Emerging Technology Models. He has a Masters in Sustainability Engineering and Management from Linköping University in Sweden; where he has executed Projects in Landfill Mining, Circular Economy, Sustainability Strategies, Industrial Symbiosis, Resource Efficient Products, Integrated Product Service Systems and many more. With his leadership, Navetas Sweden and Operation Green Linköping spreads awareness about Biodiversity Conservation, devising Solutions for Intelligent Forestry Practices in Scandinavia. Moreover, He has developed Novel Methodologies and Frameworks for Climate innovations, Conducting Capacity Building Workshops and Researching alternative materials, Sustainable Urban Planning and Climate Action Plans.

He Specializes in Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and has implemented various projects in the Automobile Industry, Print, Media and the Built Environment; working with various Standards of LEED and BREEAM. He has worked extensively with ESC, Conducted Materiality Assessments, in addition to analyzing Carbon, Water and Ecological Footprints, Social and Governance Practices, While Reporting on Various ESG frameworks and Standards. He also played a Pivotal Role in the Design and Development of a SAAS Platform for Automated ESG Reporting. Yash is creating something unique to analyze, quantify and report the environmental performances of organizations but also developing ESG enhancement frameworks to be deployed at factory level through capacity building workshops with a gamified approach while spearheading Research into alternative Materials, Sustainable Urban Planning and Designing Climate Action.

His experience in working with Start-ups and Emerging Technologies in the Climate Tech space led him to Design an Impact Assessment and Certification Program to quantify the handprint, creating the Positive Impact of these technologies, which plays significant role, in shaping the Market. After joining IISD, Yash is working across various domains of Sustainability and Climate Action.
